  25. The  IDEal  interface  itself  is a small board  that  mounts  over  the  68000 
  26. processor,  3  wire connections need to be made then the hard  drive  mechanism 
  27. mounts on top of the metal shield under the plastic caseing, they are available 
  28. as  a  kit  with full detailed fitting instructions and  software  or  you  can

  56.  The Cheetah external hard drive systems are ASCII based units and can be  used 
  57. on all the ST range along with the TT and Falcon.

  61. Small  cases  just  2.2 x 6.7 x 8.8.  inches (HxWxD) with  integral  40w  power 
  62. supply,  cooling fan, dual SCSI connectors for daisy chaining extra devices and 
  63. i.d.  selector  gives a fully featured system for use on more than  just  Atari 
  64. computers.  The drives can be laid horizontally or stood vertically is space is 
  65. at a premium.

  69. All systems are supplied complete with appropriate cables for attaching to  the 
  70. relevant  system.  Format  /  partitioning software is included  so  the  drive 
  71. settings may be altered.  SCSI drives have the ability to be chained  together, 
  72. the  last drive on the chain must be terminated.  This can be done   internally 
  73. ont he drive itself or externally using a terminator. For externally terminated 
  74. version  add £5.00 to the prices given later.  Note that  external  termination 
  75. makes it easy to add additional hard drives and CD Rom units to the system.

  126.   the Lacescan overscan unit will soon be available for fitting  into  ST(FM)'s

  128. number  of lines thus reducing the borders on the monitor and  displaying  more 
  129. useful  information..  A standard mono monitor displays 640h x 400v pixels  but 
  130. with  overscan fitted resolutions of 740h x 480v can  be  achieved.  Compatible

  183. Fax modems from THE UPGRADE SHOP have been fully tested on Atari  systems.  The 
  184. modems  are  to  the latest specifications and use the  rockwell  chipsets  for 
  185. optimal compatibility.  All modems are FULLY BT approved and are complete  with 
  186. CE markings for full compliance.  The modems can be used both on the ST, Falcon 
  187. and TT systems as all cables are included for each system. Software included is 
  188. a copy of Teddy Term (ST only) general comms package,  STZip & LZH  compression 
  189. software,  Connect (ST,  TT and Falcon shareware) comms program and a shareware 
  190. copy  of  COMA  fax software.  The modems can be used to  connect  to  bulletin 
  191. boards,   information   systems   (compuserve   with   appropriate   software),

  208.  This unit plugs into the mainly unused analogue joystick ports of the STe. The 
  209. system date and time is set at  powerup by running an auto folder program  when 
  210. the system is first booted,  no more manually typing in the date and time.  All 
  211. new  files  written  to floppy or hard drive are time stamped  making  it  much 
  212. easier to find newly written work.  Date and time critical programs suck as fax 
  213. packages  run correctly without telling you to set the clock at  that  critical 
  214. point.  Full  integral battery back up so the clock keeps running when the  STe 
  215. system is powered off. Typical battery life is 2-3 years.

  329. facilities  to  cope.  All  jobs are quoted on  an  individual  basis,  a  free 
  330. quotation service is also available (except for courier charges if required) so 
  331. you  don't  need to pay a hight fixed charge for a simple  job.  Fully  trained 
  332. engineers  with over 7 years experience for a reliable repair,  backed  by  out 
  333. long  4  month warranty against the same fault re-occurring (new  parts  fitted 
  334. carry  a  full  12 month RTB warranty).  please ring  to  discuss  your  repair 
  335. requirements.

  337. Some upgrades require soldering or are difficult to install, therefore we offer 
  338. customers an extremely reasonable fitting service. For a one off payment of £15 
  339. you can have a number of upgrades fitted inside your machine.  If you  purchase 
  340. an  upgrade as a kit and find that you don't want to fit it yourself  then  the 
  341. same charge applies (no penalty for having a go).

  343. Local customers can arrange ann appointment to bring their machine (please ring 
  344. before  calling in) and the work will normally be completed in 1.5 to 2  hours. 
  345. If  you  live some distance then why not take advantage  of  our24Hour  courier 
  346. collection and return service which is available for £7.00 each way.  (Northern 
  347. Scotland  -  Above Glasgow and Edinburgh and Northern Ireland a  surcharge  may 
  348. apply).  Full  insurance  cover  is  given provided that  all  items  sent  are 
  349. adequately packaged.

  352. and  fully address the box with the recipient and senders address,  inside  the 
  353. box  please  also  put a description of the work to be done.  If  a  repair  is 
  354. required  please  give details of the fault.  Then ring THE  UPGRADE  SHOP  one 
  355. working day (Mon-Fri)before collection is required.  We can collect from either 
  356. a wrok or home address normally after 1pm.  PLEASE!  ensure that all goods  are 
  357. well  packaged in a strong cardboard box with at least 5cm of packing  material 
  358. all the way around.
